Drew Brees was Drew Brees
Drew Brees must have watched Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers last night as both of those quarterbacks had big games. Today Brees reminded us all why he was the best quarterback in fantasy football as he went 14 of 17 for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
In vintage Brees style he spread the ball around to multiple players as the Saints went rolling in for score after score.
Tight End Jeremy Shockey had another good showing and is beginning to look like a very viable option in fantasy leagues. In the first half of the game Jeremy had 4 catches for 48 yards.
Where's That Great Raider Running Game?
I don't know what the heck happened to the Raiders in the early part of this game but they just decided to not run the football at all. For the game Darren McFadden was a horrible 3 carries for negative eight yards.
Of course your team is not going to look good when you fumble the ball away three times.
The only bright spots for the Raiders was rookie receiver Louis Murphey as he had 3 catches for 84 yards. Tight End Zach Miller also had a nice stat line of 5 catches for 74 yards as well.
In the end this was a horrible performance in the third week of the season for the Raiders to post at home. In my mind go ahead and drop McFadden a round in your rankings as this team looks like it still has a ways to go before they are ready to win.
