Panthers vs Dolphins: Ronnie Brown PPR Stud? | Player Rankings

Last week Ronnie Brown and the Dolphins didn't do that much as they played a Monday night game against the Buccaneers. This week was a different story for Miami as they faced off against the Carolina Panthers.

Ronnie Brown can Run, Catch and Score

This year is a big one for Ronnie Brown as he is in a contract season with the Dolphins. Last season Brown was still recovering from his torn acl from the 2007 season and was not ready to handle the complete feature duty's on the team.

This offseason the coaching staff and players on the team have noted that Ronnie has the burst of speed he used to have before his injury.

Early in tonight's game Ronnie had a very nice 28 yard touchdown catch from Chad Pennington. For the night Brown had a stat line of 7 carries for 31 yards rushing and three receptions for 43 receiving yards and the touchdown.

The Dolphins do have a tough schedule on paper this year but remember they match up against the Steelers is week 17 and many fantasy football leagues don't play that week. This makes Ronnie's schedule a little easier as he look to have one of his finest seasons as a pro.

DeAngelo Williams just keeps Running

The Panthers have had their problems so far this preseason but DeAngelo Williams has not been one of them. In short work Williams had a nice stat line of 8 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown.

The highlight play of the night was DeAngelo's 25 yard touchdown run as it was probably the closest thing you will ever see to a Barry Sanders like run since Sanders left the game. Williams has made a few of these types of runs a season ago and sooner or later a fantasy owner has to think to themselves that it just doesn't matter that Jonathan Stewart is on this team, if this guy runs this way.

It looks like Williams is more than just a one year wonder as he may just be a very good player and a top fantasy football running back. Simply put that touchdown was amazing and I would recommend you watch it on NFL.com.
