Carnell Cadillac Williams Returns and Starts
At the start of the game I was happy to see Cadillac Williams back on the field after all his injury problems in his career. Not only was Cadillac back on the field but he actually started the game and played well with eight carries for 54 yards rushing in the first half.
What I found interesting is that not only did Williams start over Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham but the Buccaneers head coach said if he was playing effectively that Williams would be the starter at the begging of the season.
I don't know if Cady will actually be the starter but it does show that this running situation is one worth avoiding for this season. With three running backs in the mix it is going to be hard for any one of them to be effective week to week.
Maurice Stovall Catches Six Passes
With Antonio Bryant and Michael Clayton out of action due to injury Mourice Stovall got the start in the Buccaneers offense. In first two drives of the game Stovall had 6 catches for 73 yards receiving.

With a performance like this one Stovall looks primed to be the teams No.3 receiver to start the season and could end up being a starter as the year moves along. If Maurice and Byron Leftwich keep hooking up like this, Stovall will be a nice waiver pick if he does in fact start at some point.
Nothing Much from Miami
The Dolphins really had nothing worth writing home about in this game. For most of the first quarter offense offense was off the field and could not get in rhythm when they did find the field.
Right now I'm a little concerned about the Dolphins defense against the pass. In a heavy rain game the Dolphins allowed Leftwich and career backup Stovall to move the ball up and down the field. If they can't stop this passing attack how will they fair against the Patriots and Tom Brady?
