Broncos vs Bears: Jay Cutler Returns to Denver | Player Rankings

Tonight marked the comeback of Jay Cutler to Denver as the Bears and Broncos faced off in a Sunday Night game. Coming into this game I was wondering how the Broncos would play knowing that Jay was coming back. Also I was interested in seeing how Jay would play against his old team.

Cutler Struggles Early

The boo's were loud and the camera's were shaky as the Broncos fans wanted to let Jay Culter know how they felt about his trade demand. Early in the game you could tell that the crowd noise had an effect on the Bears offense as they were stalled on the first couple drives.

As the Bears offense settled down Jay lead the team down for 17 first half points that was capped off by a touchdown pass to Matt Forte.

In the end Cutler did a good job and the Bears look like a good team as we get set for the regular season in a couple of weeks.

Kyle Orton Hurts Finger

On the other side of the Cutler trade their was quarterback Kyle Orton as he started for the Broncos in this game. Before Orton suffered a cut finger and missed the rest of the game, he had a nice game going 12 of 16 passing for 96 yards.

It looks like Orton and Eddie Royal are starting to build chemistry as the two have been hooking up without Brandon Marshall in the lineup. At this point in time we don't know if Marshall will even play for Denver this season so Royal should be in line for a nice season.


If Brandon does not play this year on the team than my only concern for Eddie is if he can be a consistent producer playing every week against the No.1 corner back, from opposing teams.
