Lions vs Redskins: Lions Win One for Detroit | NFL Player Rankings

Today is the day the Detroit Lions have waited for as they finally won a NFL football game, in over a year. The game was not won by much but the Lions (like any team) will take any win they can get.

Stafford and Smith Impressive

Rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford had a fine game against the Redskins stingy pass defense. For the game Stafford was 21 of 36 for 241 yards and a touchdown.

Kevin Smith ran for 16 carries to go for 101 yards. He also had 2 catches for 18 yards before he left the game with a shoulder injury.

The Lions can finally breath a breath of fresh air as they have their first win of the young season. Hopefully, Smith's shoulder doesn't coast him any time as the Lions will need him every week this season.

Santana Moss Goes Wild

Santana Moss crawled out of the shadows and actually showed up for a game this week. Hopefully, if you have Moss on your fantasy football team, you started him. For the day Moss had ten receptions for 187 yards and a long touchdown bomb.

Jason Campbell did not play that bad, and if he continues his solid play than Moss may be a decent starter when he has a good matchup.
