Nate Davis Continues Solid Play
Last week I talked about the 49ers rookie quarterback Nate Davis and how he was having a good preseason. At that time he was still battling for a roster spot and I wrote that I believed he should win.
A few days later San Fransisco cut Damon Huard and the No.3 quarterback job belonged to Davis.
I really like this young quarterback and tonight he had some ruff spots but in the end he came out solid. Davis has a very live arm and he is aware enough in the pocket to elude the pass rush as well.
This kid has a lot to learn as all young quarterbacks but you can see that one day he might be something in this league.
Chargers Report
The Chargers had a good game all around and I was impressed with third string running back veteran Michael Bennett. If Bennett would have been used the way the Chargers are using him right now, over his early career, he could have been very good in fantasy.
Unfortunately for some reason this runner has hardly been used in the passing game until this preseason. All three of San Diego's runners are very good at catching the football and running with it.
Last week Bennett had a 52 yard touchdown catch and most of the yardage was after the catch.

Look for Bennett to help this team throughout the season and especially if LaDainian Tomlinson or Sproles should go down with injury.
