One would have thought the Steelers could handle the Browns for a victory. Sure, the Steelers had lost four in a row coming into this game (two of them to the Chiefs and Raiders) but this was the team they've owned for the past six or seven years.
Chris Jennings Shines
Browns' rookie running back Chris Jennings shined in his first opportunity for real action in the NFL. Jerome Harrison started the game, but it was apparent by the 2nd quarter that Jennings was what the Browns needed for victory.
For the game Jennings had twenty carries for 73 yards and a second quarter ten yard touchdown run. The touchdown put the Browns up 13 to nothing and that was all the points the Browns needed to win the game.
In the end, the Browns pulled off a 13 to 6 victory over the Steelers and snapped their twelve game losing streak to Pittsburgh.
Jennings should continue to see a good amount of work for the last few weeks of the fantasy football season. The Browns need to see what they have with this kid (can he take the football twenty times every week) and the last three weeks the Browns face the Chiefs, Raiders and Jaguars.
All three games could give you decent fantasy points if you have Jennings on your fantasy roster.
Steelers Drop Fifth Game in a Row
The Steelers are now out of the playoff hunt after they've dropped their last five games in a row. What was even worse for the Steelers in this game is that they were out muscled at the line of scrimmage.
The Steelers o-line didn't even have to face NT Shaun Rogers (out of the year) and they still couldn't dominate on the ground or score a touchdown in the game.
Rashard Mendenhall was a huge disappointment in fantasy football leagues this week. For a game that was played in bad weather against a bad rush defense, he should have produced more than 70 total yards.
This short coming will hurt fantasy owners that started him as the playoffs have now begun, and they are already one runner down.
Hopefully, the next ten days off for the Steelers will help do them some good. This team really looks like it needs some time of to get well.
