Chris Johnson leads the Titans to Division title

Johnson's explosion was first seen in a pre-season game when Chris ripped of a long run for a touchdown against the St. Louis Rams. It was obvious Jeff Fisher was happy about Johnson's run because on the sidelines he was giving high fives to a fellow coach on the staff. From that game #28 went on to post 1228 yards rushing, a 4.9 yard per Carrie and 9 rushing touchdowns. Also throwing in 43 receptions for 260 yards and one receiving TD as well. Lindell White even started to pull his own weight (oh yes pun intended on that one) in the offense with 15 touchdowns. Yes the running game was in good hands with the real smash and dash.
As far as the passing game went in week one Vince Young had a total melt down and after the game considered retirement. Luckily quarterback veteran Kerry Collins was their to pick up the slack and lead the offense. No one can deny that Collins was a great game manager and gave them good passing games when they needed it. But still when your best receiver Justin Gage goes for only 651 yards receiving and 6 touchdowns, sooner or later you will have a problem. That problem came to pass in the first round of the playoffs at home against the Baltimore Ravens. In the first half of the game Chris Johnson suffered an ankle injury and missed the second half of the game. When this happened the Titans failed to pass their way to victory and lost.
The 2009 Draft and Kenny Britt's career at Rutgers
When the 2009 NFL draft came around the Titans selected what the fans again were screaming for. Selecting the big target wide receiver from Rutgers in Kenny Britt. While Kenny only spent three seasons in a Rutgers uniform, he left as the greatest receiver in the Rutger's long history. He is the all-time leader in receiving yards (3,043), touchdown receptions (17) and career 100-yard receiving games (14). After his 2008 campaign that saw Britt amass Scarlet Knight season records with 87 catches for 1,371 yards, the junior decided to throw his hat in the ring at the 2009 draft.

Kenny Britts Fantasy Football Value in 2009
Kenny is just the type of receiver that the Titans need. Beyond the kids receiving skill Britt is also a physical player that fights for extra yards and barrels over defenders. Not to also add his ability's to block in the running game. These attributes give Britt a strong chance to start this season over the likes of Nate Washington (acquired from the Steelers) and Justin Gage. As far as wear one should select Britt in fantasy football if you are in a keeper league he is defiantly worth a stash, as this kid does have the talent for success's in the NFL. In standard fantasy football leagues I would check just before your draft to make sure he's clinched his starting gig then select him with a late round pick. Bottom line is the Titans have a need for a receiver with the tools Britt has and soon he will be on the field with regularity. Look for Kenny to be the next #1 receiving success for the Tennessee Titans franchise.
